A temple for beholding the glory of the grace of God in Christ.

A watering hole for thirsty souls ... "O God, You are my God; I will seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water,  thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.  Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.  My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips." -- Psalm 63:1-5.

I am a doxaphiliac. That is not a medical condition but means literally, "a lover of glory." In fact, we all are. Spiritual blindness is the one great consequence of the fall, which turned the human race into a long lineage of cosmophiliacs (lovers of the world) who are in effect kenophiliacs (lovers of emptiness). "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,  (19)  because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.  (20)  For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.  (21)  For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  (22)  Professing to be wise, they became fools,  (23)  and EXCHANGED THE GLORY of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures," Romans 1:18-23. All mankind by consequence of this exchange, outside of Christ, all the sons and daughters of Adam are content with, satiated by the lesser glory of created things. Man, created as a doxaphiliac, by this exchange became ikophiliacs... lovers of images. Man always pursues what he perceives as the greater glory and in his fallen state perrenially choose the creater over the creator... the reflection of God over God Himself. Adam was created to gorge on God, and as such, while it lasted, the great commandment is to love God with all of our hearts and minds was a piece of cake... like telling a poor man to come to a mountain of gold and take all that he can carry. To love God is not to love what He does nor to love the Scriptures that reveal Him nor the doctrines that derive from those Scriptures. LOVE GOD. And no one can love God who does not love glory, because God is glory ontologically. He is praxeologically glorious because He is ontologically glorious. So to love God is to love what He is, not what He does. DOXAVOX is my saturation chamber where I come to breathe and soak in doxagen, which is the atmosphere of the glory of God as revealed to us in Christ. Here I come again and again to behold Him. REGENERATION fixes one thing in man: his ability to see the glory of God. Our new ontology as new creatures in Christ is called the "seed of God" in 1 John. This cannot be made more perfect or more holy. Our lives as saints are a mixed set of performances. As we succumb to the old nature we groan as Paul did in Romans 7. We do the things that we hate now that we can see the glory of God. But post-regeneration, "we all with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being changed into the SAME image, from glory to glory...". This is our practice being changed as we are "conformed into the image of His Son." The new nature does not get holier. Our practice is. And as doxaphiliacs by our heart being unveiled, we behold His glory and are changed into praxeologically from one degree of glory to another. This is the cadence of glory. This is the "hope of glory" to be more and more like Christ in practice. There are two gospels: the devil's gospel and the true gospel. The devil's gospel is a justification-only gospel, where criminals leave the courtroom of God as pardoned sinners without any desire for the living room of the God who pardons sinners. The true gospel is good new of pardon, change, or adoption. The devil's gospel does not beget doxaphiliacs. His gospel creates lovers of pardon not lovers of the God who pardons. But all those with unveiled face now can see the Greater Glory. The machinery of the soul of man is unchanged by regeneration. Man always chooses what he perceives to be the greater glory, and for the veiled face, that is NOT "the Father of glory." I am building Doxavox as a focused space not just for worshipful songwriting, but to serve my fellow doxaphiliacs. PSALM 45, Asaph heart "overflowed with a good theme." The word is "disgorged." From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." What bloated Asaph's heart so that his heart overflowed? The King who "in His splendor and His majesty rides on victorious for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness." JESUS, in whom are ALL of our good things. "Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places IN HIM." So the doxagen here is the unfolding of Christ and of the "gospel of God" which is the suite of accomplishments of Christ by "kind intention of His will" for all who are "in Him." I come here to gaze Christward and gospelward and Fatherward and Spiritward. I come here to BEHOLD as in a mirror THE GLORY OF THE LORD. If no one was interested in praxeological glory Paul would here be a delusional salesman. He is pitching something that no one is interested in. Paul is not deluded. He knows man because he knows himself. Everything out of sync, out of alignment with the Greater Glory is shameful and causes the doxaphiliac to cry out, "O wretched man that I am!" All who are indifferent to their sin and shame should doubt that they have been regenerated, for regeneration removes the veil to allow us to see the glory of God in the face of Christ and in His gospel. Remember, the ones who drove the nails through His hands and feet on the cross were most likely crying "Hosanna to the King! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!" Perhaps had eaten of the two fish that feed 5000 or saw Him heal the sick heard of Him walking on water and raising Lazarus... yet, they saw no glory when the looked at Him. Lucifer argued with God in heaven on His throne, and so do all the fallen sons of Adam until God removed the veil to see Him and His glory. Here, we come for the spittle of Jesus to be applied to our eyes so that we can see what we are staring at... so that we can behold the glory that only blind cannot see. Paul prays that the "eyes of [the saint's] hearts would be enlightened." ... SO THAT we may BEHOLD THE GLORY and be changed into the glorious children of God. The image of Christ is glorious. We are predestined to be conformed to it. Come and behold with me, that we may become the lightsome beloved children of God who are His lanterns in Babylon.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit -- 2 Corinthians 3:15-18  Doxavox is A WATERING HOLE FOR THE THIRSTY SOUL. Here I share my musical mediations on Him in verbatim Psalms and other texts put to music, and songs with lyrics that "teach and admonish" per Colossians 3:16. Paul prayed for the Ephesian saints that "the Father of glory would give to them a spirit of wisdom and revelation IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM, that the eyes of your heart may be ENLIGHTENED, that you may KNOW what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,  (19)  and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might  (20)  which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,  (21)  far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.  (22)  And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,  (23)  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Day one — from a blank page to a living home

It began on a Saturday with nothing. By night Doxavox stood up and breathing: reborn from JookBox into Doxavox — "glory, voiced" — on real cloud ground (Vercel, Postgres, and cloud storage), with direct music upload and streaming, albums and playlists, a public landing page, member invites, and the very first experiments in syncing a lyric to its song. The foundation was poured in a single day.

Day two — the lyrics came alive

Sunday turned a music player into a place to behold the Word. AI now transcribes a song and times every line; lyrics light up as they are sung; the view follows one section at a time. And the heart of it all: AI scripture corroboration that holds each song up against the Bible, the grounding verses shown right beside the lyric. Subtitles, song explanations, and time-anchored comments rounded out the day.

The journey

The walls we hit, and the grace to get past them

It was not all smooth. Uploads failed on flaky networks until we taught them to retry. Layouts overflowed and menus hid behind other rows until we set them right. And we met a hard, holy lesson about honesty: we will never fake-follow a lyric. We tore out "approximate" highlighting and rebuilt it so a line lights up only when its timing is truly real. Every wall pressed the work toward integrity.

What's ahead

Far more than a place to hear music

This was never only about listening. Every lyric that lights up, every scripture set beside it, is meant to carry a heart into the throne room of the all-glorious God — our Father in Christ, the Father of glory. Coming next: music that follows you across pages, songs that transcribe and sync the moment they are uploaded, and verse, chorus, and bridge that name themselves. We are only beginning. To God be the glory.
